Who we are
About St Nicholas Boat Line
St Nicholas Boat Line has been running sponge diving tours from the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks for over 100 years. The captains and crew come from Greek sponge-diving families whose history is inseparable from the history of this waterfront.
Captain George leads most tours personally. The boat departs Dodecanese Blvd daily, and the experience is deliberately calm — no amplified music, no rush. The crew adapts to every group, from school field trips to travel agency excursions to families with special needs.

Sponge Diving Demonstration Tour
A one-hour narrated cruise aboard a traditional Greek sponge boat, departing the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. Crew from sponge-diving families explains the history, ecology, and technique of Florida sponge harvesting.

Group & Private Charters
Private and semi-private tour bookings for families, school groups, tour operators, and corporate outings. The St Nicholas crew has handled groups of 52 and larger with ease.
